Shade sail pole

If you are searching for a material solution combining quality, flexibility, and design to fix your shade sail onto, the adjustable pole is made for you! It can be fixed into the ground or to a wall, which leaves a large array of configuration possibilities for an ideally protected patio. With its slide, you will be able to adjust the height of the shade sail according to the sun and the incline of its rays in order to maximize the shade sail benefits.

This anodised aluminum pole guarantees a resistant and design installation. The section of the mast in one piece ensures robustness and impeccable aesthetics.

Its slide allows you to set the incline of your sail according to the course of the sun, to create shade all day long.

On the practical side, it is removable : remove it easily in winter and slip it into its base in the spring.

The tension system with ropes + pulleys is included.

Height: 2,60 m

Pole material: Aluminium

Diameter: 110 x 80 mm

Weight: 12 to 20 kg depending on the base.

Elements included with your mast, for terrace sails

Tensioning system for Espace Ombrage mats

Tension system

To tension the sail correctly. Single pulleys for the standard version, double pulleys for the reinforced version and a tensioner for the short version.

Slide for adjustable mast

The slide

To adjust the height of the attachment point of your shade sail in a few seconds.

Adjustable mast cleat

The cleat

To wind the rope onto the mast and getting a clean and tidy installation at all times.

The “reinforced” tension system (for Australe 340 and Acryl 300) contains 2 double pulleys versus 2 simple pulleys for the “standard” version (for Solar 200 and Australe 220). The double pulleys can host an additional rope loop between the sail and pole: this facilitates the tension of the sail and makes the installation more resistant.

Base plate to be sealed

THE MOST ROBUST VERSION WITH THE BEST LOOK

In this version, the ovoid sleeve to be sealed in concrete is 40cm high. The ovoid pole fits entirely into the sleeve, so to have a 260cm high pole, we deliver a 300cm profile + a 100cm reinforcement which ensures the strength of the pole.

Material: Recycled aluminium. You can increase the strength of your mast by positioning it at an angle.

screw-on base

Base to be screwed

For hard floors such as concrete slabs or terraces with wooden joists. 2 versions: vertical or inclined. The tube measures 50cm.

Material: Galvanised steel. You can complete your installation with a base cover which will cover the screw-on plate, its threaded rods and bolts. This product is optional and will finish your installation on your terrace. The screw-on base can be fixed on a ballast support to avoid any drilling.

Wall-mounted terminals

Wall baseplates

For leaning the pole against a wall, when it is not possible to fix to the ground. You will receive a set of bolts and nuts as well as two wall plates with rings in which the pole will be inserted. The plates are adjustable to fit the tensioning axes of the sail(s).

Material: 316 stainless steel. M10 threaded rods and a chemical sealant are required to ensure the robustness of the installation.

To fix your shade sail, you will also need additional products.

How to install a shade sail ?

Step 1: Create a 60 to 80 cm deep and 40cm wide concrete slab into which the sheath will be sealed. The bigger the slab, the mire stable the pole;

Step 2: Insert the pole (including the steel tube of 1m). Then, insert the mast (containing its 100cm aluminium reinforcement) into the sheath.

Here is a video explaining the assembly of the mast to be sealed:

Step 1: Plan 4 bolts and 4 shredded shanks of 12 mm diameter and 200 mm length in order to fix the base. Drill with a concrete drill bit to 14 and a chemical selling.

Step 2: Simply slide the pole onto the base. Add a plate cover (available as an accessory) to achieve a neat look.

Questions
Answers

When you buy an adjustable pole, it includes the tensioning system, the cleat and the slider. The slider allows you to attach the sail to the pole's front or back rail. This allows you to vary the height of your sail throughout the day.

The pole is available in aluminium, anthracite and brown. It all depends on the atmosphere you want to create. You can match the colour of your window frames or choose to match the pole to the colour of your terrace. The brown pole is the most discreet colour and blends in with the natural elements like a tree trunk.
